Job Description

Our Boston client is looking for an Exchange Support Engineer.  Must have experience with migration to O365.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience with Exchange Server 2007, Exchange Server 2010, Exchange Server 2013 and experience migrating mail from Exchange to Offie365.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a resource for on-going Exchange Messaging planning and deployment.
  • Help with analysis of migration to new Exchange Server environments.
  • Develop and implement strategies for providing facilitative support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments.

  • Execute formal post-mortem process on closure of critical issues.
  • Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems.

Qualifications include:

  • Proficient in PowerShell script creation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and professionally communicating to all parties involved.
  • Active Directory Federation Services
  • Support migration of mail from Exchange Server to Office365
  • Experience with data segregation techniques in all services within Office365 including but not limited to the configuration of the Security and Compliance Center to accommodate several companies
  • Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and professionally communicating to all parties involved.
  • Active Directory Federation Services
  • Support migration of mail from Exchange Server to Office365

Plusses:

  • Active Directory Domain Services
  • Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003
  • Group Policy configuration and management
  • Practical experience troubleshooting operating system performance problems
  • Experience delivering and/or authoring technical training
  • College degree, preferably in Computer Science. Will consider related equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
  • Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans and professionally communicating to all parties involved
  • Knowledge of Advanced Group Policy Management
  • Experience with Client Logon Troubleshooting
  • Experience with network captures and network troubleshooting
  • PowerShell skills including scripting
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP and other related areas
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

Education/Certifications:

  • A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields is preferred along with 5+ years of relevant experience or comparable professional experience
